Commission from Philharmonie Luxembourg/Distractfold to write a new piece for the Rainy Days Festival 2016. Piece for vl, vla, vlc, cl (bass), and 4ch fixed-media sound. Premiere 3rd Dec 18h30, Studio at the Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg.
erasure.rupture (2016) will be presented by Distractfold as part of their concert at the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival 2016.
Selected by Distractfold as part of the IMD (Internationales Musikinstitut Darmstadt) "historage" project, 48th Darmstadt Summer Course for New Music 2016. This short piece reworks various recordings from the Darmstadt archives according to the idea of the zero point being under pressure from the act of erasure that brings it about (the blank sheet clearing the past, the 'start afresh from nothing' intention from around 1945) and the subsequent ruptures that emerge within it.
contours I + II (2013/15) will be presented by Distractfold at their concert at New Music North West 2016 at the RNCM, Manchester UK.
